Yearbook Ordering Information Good evening! Please see the attached document with information regarding the ordering process for 2019-2020 yearbooks. It is important to know that due to school buildings being closed and the inability for the company to ship to individual households, yearbooks will be distributed at the beginning of next school year. PreK Work Packet March 13, 2020 Re: Work Packets for School Closings Dear Parents and Guardians, We are providing optional work packets for students to complete while schools are closed from March 16, 2020 through March 27, 2020. Below are some guidelines regarding the work packets: 1. Work packets are optional for students to complete. 2. Work packet completion will not be counted in student grading calculations. 3. Work packets are available online. You can access your child’s work packet by clicking the file attached here. 4. In order to comply with social distancing recommendations it is highly recommended that you access your child’s work packets online (see #3). Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School and Baltimore City Public Schools administrators cannot be held responsible for illnesses that may result from picking up work packets at school. 5. Work packets will be available for pickup at the main entrance of the school on Tuesday, March 17 through Thursday, March 19 between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. 6. Work packets will be arranged by grade level in the front lobby of the school with signs indicating which packets you may pick up. 7. Parents will not be able to move past the front lobby of the school when picking up work packets. All other areas of the school will be off limits, including restrooms. Annual Fund Update As the month of February winds down, so does our Annual Fund Campaign. We have currently raised about 25% of our goal. If you have thought about contributing we ask that you please do. It is anticipated the fund will need to supplement Mr. D's budget in the neighborhood of $60,000 in order to maintain the wonderful programming and resources we have at TJ. Yearbook Picture Make Up Day Good evening! I am emailing on behalf of the main office. Please direct all questions to Mrs. Stacey in the main office. Yearbook picture make up day will be this Wednesday, January 29th. If you would like to purchase photos, please send the attached completed form with payment before or on Wednesday, January 29th by 9:30 am. The photographers will begin taking pictures at 9:30 and they will only be there long enough to take pictures of students who were absent on the original makeup day. Please be sure students that need make up photos arrive to school on time and in proper uniform - hunter green shirts for middle school and royal blue shirts for elementary school. Logos must be smaller than a half dollar unless they are Thomas Johnson or ROAR84 logos. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Stacey in the main office. One from JHU - discussing their Books and Brunch program. Another speaker, Jenelle Harvey, a representative from Thread, will be there to discuss the organization and answer questions. Thread is an organization that links volunteers up with Baltimore City youth, including Digital Harbor students, to build relationships across different communities. Yearbook Photos - Jan 14 & 15 Good evening! I am sending this email on behalf of the main office. Please do not reply to this email with questions. Instead, please direct all questions to the main office or email Mrs. Stacey at SGodleski@bc.... Class and individual yearbook photos will be taken on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 14th and 15th. ONLY students who return a completed order form and full payment before or on picture day will receive photos, however, ALL students will be photographed for the yearbook. For yearbook photos, students must be in proper uniform. Along with khaki bottoms, elementary students should wear a royal blue shirt and middle school students should wear a hunter green shirt.
